Hornung's Hardware recently presented representatives from the Lebanon VA Medical Center with $5,002.00 to benefit the hospitalized veterans. The money was raised at the 7th Annual “Support Our Veterans Silent Auction” held at the Harrisburg Senators baseball game on Fri., Aug. 27. The funds will be used to provide extra amenities that might otherwise not be available including deodorant, shampoo, body wash, shaving cream, razors and mouthwash. Some of the money is earmarked for the General Post Fund to help with the purchase of a new wheelchair bus to transport Veterans to activities.

All our standard favorites are available, we offer quite a selection of local produce ranging from big fat red and orange tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, potatoes, onions, green peppers, plums, and corn to cantaloupes.

The stand is open seven days a week. Even when we are not there (though we're usually puttering around working on something in one of the fields), our market is open for “trust your neighbor” payment in the big white box with the slot in it. It is how we used to take money for our “trust your neighbor” christmas trees, and used to keep tack for the horses for the previous 100 years.
